Environmental Policy

Sigma manufactures graphics and display systems for commercial organisations, local government, and non-profit making organisations. Our diverse range of clients includes local authorities, automotive manufacturers and educational establishments.

We are fully committed to developing graphics and displays that are manufactured from materials derived from sustainable sources. Our electricity comes from renewable sources (mainly wind generated). The efficient production processes we employ produce little waste.

We are committed to preventing pollution and to continual environmental improvement.

Through this commitment, we:

• Minimise waste and recycle as much waste material as possible (e.g. supplying the local school with off cuts of materials suitable for school projects).
• Maximise energy efficiency by raising staff awareness of the issue and implementing best practice.
• Use materials derived from sustainable sources wherever possible.
• Advise our clients, whenever possible, on the most eco-friendly and efficient use of materials - even at the expense of potential sales.
• Actively develop our understanding of environmental issues and sustainability.
• Ensure that we comply with all current environmental legislation.

This policy is maintained, reviewed and updated constantly, with a significant annual review scheduled to coincide with our business plan and staff reviews. Our Environmental Policy is available to all interested parties.
